THE recurring dream of Blacktown rapper E Zee is set to come true.
E Zee, who works as a labourer to support himself, has won a spot on the Sydney concert bill of American rapper Ja Rule.
The concert, for about 4000 people, will be held at Luna Park on July 25.
E Zee, 22, said it was Ja Rule who inspired him to become a rapper at the age of 16 years.
Also performing will be New Zealanders Savage and Tyree.
``I live and work for Ja Rule,'' said EZee. ``He was the man who introduced me to rap and its magic.''
``He has kept me going through hard and not so hard times. Ja Rule is my aspiration.
``It will be heaven when I rub shoulders with him on and off the stage.''
E Zee has also been invited to take part in an extensive Australian tour later in the year.
``My hard work is paying off. I expect to be offered a recording contact soon.''
E Zee and his mate Mooji (also from Blacktown) recently performed in music festivals in Parramatta Park, Blacktown City Showground and the University of Western Sydney, Nirimba Campus.
He has recorded about 40 songs for demo CDs and videos about his life, hopes, loves, money and his community.
``I like to talk to the people about my struggles, defeats and achievements,'' he said.
E Zee considers himself as a modern-day street poet, who speaks to people of his generation through words and music. His web page is myspace.com/officialezee.
