TWO Blacktown volunteers were acclaimed at the 20th annual Football NSW state dinner.
Parklea Soccer Club's Mark Higgins received the fair play award.
Blacktown's Suzanne Sim was also an award winner.
The dinner was a celebration of grassroots football, said NSW Sport and Recreation Minister Kevin Greene.
``The hard work and passion of tireless volunteers drives football across the State,'' he said.
``There are 40,000 volunteers in NSW football clubs supporting more than 240,000 registered players.''
Lindsay Cosgrove, of the Southern Tablelands Association, won the George Churchward Medal for most outstanding contribution by a volunteer.
Other winners included Warren Searle, Granville; Colin Fisher, Nepean; Jeanette Jones, North West Sydney; and Gayle Hannan, North West Sydney.
