Players help pupils take first step to good health

12 May, 2009 12:02 AM
NATHAN Hindmarsh and Joe Galuvao put a spring in the steps of Parramatta East Public School students last Thursday.

The Parramatta powerhouses pounded the pavement as a lead-up to National Walk Safely To School Day on Friday.

``The day is an opportunity to develop healthy habits, not only for one day, but for life,'' was Hindmarsh's elucidation about the perambulation.

``A walk in the morning also prepares students for an active day of learning and playing.''

The proof will be in East Parramatta's stealing a march on opponents.
