Two robberies in Blacktown

POLICE have arrested about 10 people in connection with two separate robberies in Blacktown.

They picked up four boys and one girl, aged about 15, at Woodcroft Shopping Centre about an hour after the incident which occurred at Hill End Road, Doonside at 11.50pm on Sunday, January 20.

A staff member at Woodcroft McDonald’s called the police when the five tried to start a fight at about 1am.

The five also fitted the descriptions given by a 19-year-old robbery victim at Doonside who was assaulted and robbed of a bag containing his belongings and wallet.

In the other robbery cases four youths assaulted and robbed two brothers, aged 14 and 15, who were travelling in a train from Riverstone to Blacktown last Tuesday, January 15.

They took the two brothers’ bags and wallets as well as a mobile phone and threw their skateboards out of the moving train after assaulting them with fists, feet and a broken glass bottle at 10pm, police said.

On arrival at Blacktown train station the four raced over to the Penrith line and boarded the train.

They were arrested and the police recovered a stolen mobile phone and laptop at Penrith train station.

The three aged 14, 15 and 16 were charged with aggravated robbery with wounding and will appear before Parramatta Children’s Court on February 5.

Car park argument

TWO men assaulted a Kellyville motorist after an argument in a Blacktown shopping centre car park about 4.30pm last Tuesday. 

Police said one of them picked up a bottle and threw it at the car, causing a dent in the driver’s door after their woman friend pulled them away.

The two men are described as Islander appearance, 180-190 centimetres tall, 110 kilograms, solid build, early to mid 20s, dark short hair and wearing T-shirts and long pants.

The female is described as Islander appearance, 165 centimetres tall, 80 kilograms and in her early 20s.

Indecent assault

POLICE are hunting for a youth who indecently assaulted a 16-year-old girl walking near Woodcroft lake at 7pm on Sunday.

Police said the youth is about 17 years, of Middle Eastern appearance, dark skin, black hair short on top and long at the back in a mullet style, 160cm tall and was wearing a yellow T-shirt.

The girl said the man first walked very close to her then asked her several questions which she ignored.

He then put his arm over her shoulders, hugged her and attempted to kiss her on the face.
