Collymore rips through top order

Corey Collymore returned his best figures for Blacktown and tore through the North Sydney top order in the first-grade cricket clash at North Sydney Oval last Saturday.

The former West Indies fast bowler took 5-17 and North Sydney slumped to 5-65 before two late partnerships saw them dismissed for 242.

That’s been a familiar Warriors story in recent times: early breakthroughs followed by a mid-to-late-order resurgence by the opposition.

Blacktown will resume at 0-5 this Saturday, with someone having the chance to play the match winner in a team that has struggled to reach 200 all season.
