Man charged with Pendle Hill burglary

A PENDLE Hill man was arrested and about $60,000 worth of stolen goods recovered following an attempted burglary in Seven Hills last Thursday.

Police said the suspect, 57, was rifling through several drawers in the house at Seventh Avenue when the home owner returned at 11.45am.

He threatened the home owner with a screwdriver before driving away in his car.

Police later arrested the man.

He was charged with disqualified driving, possession of housebreaking implements, burglary, theft of valuables and using offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention.

He will appear at Blacktown Local Court on March 7.

Indecent act

Police are hunting for a man who exposed himself to a woman in Blacktown last Wednesday.

Officers said the incident happened at Huntley Place at about 11am.

The man, described as of African appearance, pulled down his pants and exposed himself to a woman working in her front yard, police said.

They said he was described as aged about 40, 170cm tall with a large solid build and wearing grey sports shorts and black t-shirt.

Car fires

POLICE are hunting for a man or men who have set fire to about a dozen cars in Doonside over the last 12 months.

Police said the latest incident happened at Delaney Drive at 3am last Friday.

Petrol was poured over a Honda Prelude and it was set alight, police said.
