Shooting in Seven Hills

Police are investigating an incident where shots were fired into an unattended parked car in Seven Hills.

About 1am yesterday, Friday, February 15, a black Toyota Aurion was parked and left unattended outside a residential home on Abigail Street.

About 7am on the same day, the vehicle was then driven to a workplace in Seven Hills before being driven to a Merrylands home and parked outside at about 12pm.

About 12.30pm, the male owner returned to his car and observed a large hole at the rear of the vehicle. Upon further inspection a number of bullet holes were found in the boot of the car.

The incident was reported to police who immediately launched an investigation. Specialist officers examined the area and determined the shooting had occurred at a different address.

The vehicle was seized for forensic examination.

Officers then attended Abigail Street, Seven Hills, where a crime scene was established where the car had been parked, which was examined by forensic officers.

A canvass of neighbouring houses was completed by police.

Blacktown detectives are investigating the incident and are being assisted by officers from Operation Apollo.
