Radio plays offer an old-fashioned good time

You can don your best 1920s costume for the Blue Mountains radio plays at Katoomba on Sunday, February 24.

The outfit judged the best by the audience will win the first prize of an overnight stay at the Mountain Heritage Hotel.

The play being performed is F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Diamond as Big as the Ritz.

The second play of the month is Jane Goes into the Christmas Card Business from the Easy Aces Radio Series.

It is about Jane going into business with disastrous results for her husband, Ace.

Cast members are: Jan Vaughan, Alan Cory, James Craib, Rob Ricketson, Amanda Russell and Philip Hammon.

The two plays will be performed at the Mountain Heritage Hotel’s Ballroom at the corner of Apex and Lovel streets at 2.30pm.

Costs: $15 per person includes afternoon tea sponsored by Whisk & Pin.
