Former Blacktown and Lalor Park Catholic school teacher arrested

Detectives have arrested a former teacher following investigations into alleged historical assaults against children dating back 25 years.

State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad established Strike Force Avia in October 2011 to investigate incidents alleged to have occurred on school grounds at a Catholic college in Blacktown and a Catholic primary school in Lalor Park in the 1980s.

The man was taken to Windsor Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.

Police said they were investigating 15 offences between 1998 and 2002, involving four teenage boys – one aged 14, the others aged 15.
