POLICE BRIEFS

Violent night at hotel

Police are investigating assaults on Saturday at a hotel on Windsor Road, Rouse Hill.

Trouble started at 12.30am when two women were separated at the bar for fighting. This was followed by an incident at 2.15am when a 22-year-old man was punched while leaving the venue.

At 3am there were two more fights, with one man suffering a suspected broken arm.

Police said that started after the victim intervened in an argument between a man and a woman.

Secure your garage

Home owners are being reminded to make sure their garages are properly secured after recent two break-ins in Carlingford.

On Thursday an $800 bicycle was stolen from a house on Post Office Street between 8.25pm and 5.20am.

A similar theft occurred at a vacant house nearby when thieves stole an $18,000 Yamaha Jetski from a garage.

Keep valuables out of sight

Police have renewed calls for motorists not to leave valuables visible in cars, after six thefts from cars at Castle Towers on Thursday.

Several items were taken from the car park, including an iPod, car seats and two Apple laptops.

Police said the number of thefts from vehicles in the command area had risen. Thieves were often targeting bags as part of credit card fraud.

Thieves target trailers

Police are warning boat owners about a spike in trailer thefts around The Hills and Hawkesbury areas.

The warning follows two incidents in Castle Hill and Baulkham Hills last week.

On February 18 four people were seen unsuccessfully trying to hook up a trailer on Murrumba Place, Castle Hill. They returned a short time later to try again but were unsuccessful.

On February 16 thieves stole two trailers from a home on Seven Hills Road, Baulkham Hills. One was a box trailer; the other a boat trailer.
