WOOF-FEST might just be the only place where you could win a prize for looking like your dog.
Back by popular demand, Woof-fest the "dog day out west" is once again held at Western Sydney Parklands Bungarribee Dog Park, Sydney's largest fenced dog off-leash area, on Sunday, March 10.
Dr Katrina Warren will make an appearance with the "Wonderdogs" to bust the myth that old dogs can't learn new tricks.
"It is always great fun to appear with the Wonderdogs," Dr Warren said. "They help me share the secrets to successfully training pets and when your beloved pooch is well trained, it will strengthen the bond you share."
There will also be fun competitions, like best dog neckware, dog with best trick and best dog and owner look-alike.
Celebrity vet Dr Peter Higgins will also take to the stage to speak about dog health issues and answer questions from the public.
Other highlights of the day include:
● face painting for dogs and their owners
● a range of stalls filled with doggy products
● Mighty Woof: obedience training for owners and their dogs
● sausage sizzles
● ice cream vans and coffee carts with doggy themed cupcakes
● doggy give-aways for the first 300 dogs to enter the gates.
Entry is free for dogs and their humans, and free parking is available.
There will be more than 25 different stallholders, from pet products, doggie rescues and information stalls.
