BLACKTOWN Show rang in its 90th anniversary with more than a tinkle of rain.
In fact it poured.
Show promoter Hugo Giometti said the only time the rain let up was between noon and 2.30pm on Sunday. "We've never had a show as wet as that in 30 years," he said.
But when the sun did make its brief appearance, the crowds came out to enjoy traditional show entertainment including woodchopping, stage shows, rides, petting zoo and wildlife show.
Only the Chaos freestyle motorcycle event was cancelled but the fireworks went ahead as planned.
