Future Terra Sancta College students turned up to farewell the school’s 2013 graduates at a mass and carnival day held at the Schofields campus on September 13.
The year 6 pupils from the feeder primary schools formed a guard of honour for the year 12 students as they left their Terra Sancta Day mass for cake and carnival fun.
After a smoking ceremony and formal mass held in a marquee on the grounds, the students held a talent quest and took turns on hired rides.
All funds raised on the day will be donated to La Sallette Vidhya Nilayam, a school of 70 students from a poor rural community in Thorredu, India.
Father Jolly Ayyamkolil, who was at Terra Sancta College for two terms last year, went to India with missionaries from religious order Our Lady of La Salette to set up the new school.
It opened in December. Last year Terra Sancta College donated $3000 to the school.
