Firefighters have been kept busy containing two bushfires burning on the Air Services Australia property at Willmot for the past three hours.
‘‘They have containment on one fire but they don’t believe the second fire will leave the property,’’ Inspector John Bennett, from the Cumberland Rural Fire Centre, said.
There are 55 RFS crews from Penrith, Blacktown and Fairfield on-site.
‘‘We’ve got other stations on watch, ready for immediate response,’’ Inspector Bennett said.
‘‘They’re on stand-by to help with the mop-up through the night.’’
He said the fires were reported to the RFS at 12.02pm.
The fire location is currently at an ‘‘advice’’ alert level on the RFS website.
