Glenwood resident Sanjay Pandaram recently launched Sydney’s Favourite Tradie 2013 to honour the work of the best tap-tighteners, wall repairers, car starters, and all-round life fixers.
The founder of Sydney’s Favourite Tradie and director of TradieClassifieds, wants to overturn the negative tradie stereotypes and honour some of Australia’s busiest and humblest workers.
He is looking for tradies who have gone over and above to exceed customer’s expectations, are always on time and professional, are a bit of a larrikin, or just an all-round good sort.
“Growing up in Glenwood, many of my friends and family become accredited tradies and I saw how just one bad tradie can give the entire industry a poor reputation,’’ he said.
‘‘ We’re ready to turn that around.
‘‘Everyone has a brother, cousin or mate that works in a trade and we all know how passionate they are about their job.
‘‘Tradies are the ones that give us a hand when we need it most.
‘‘They respond to the midnight plumbing emergencies, or rush over to help when we’ve locked ourselves out.”
