THE Sydney Philharmonia VOX (Youth Choir) performed carols for sick kids at The Children's Hospital at Westmead on Wednesday.
About 20 singers were led by conductor Liz Scott from 2pm to 3.30pm.
A spokeswoman said this was the first time the VOX had performed at Westmead and that it could become an annual Christmas tradition.
She also said the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs would donate a percentage of the proceeds from their Messiah Christmas concert series at the Sydney Opera House to The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
"To celebrate this, our VOX Choir performed carols for the kids in the hospital," she said. "It's the first of many special treats for the children.
"The more tickets we can sell to the Messiah concerts, the more money will go to Westmead."
The Sydney Philharmonia Choirs' three performances at the Opera House are at 7pm on Thursday, December 12, at 1pm on Saturday, December 14, and 5pm on Sunday, December 15.
