Suspected broken nose in Rooty Hill assault

Police are appealing for information following an assault in Rooty Hill on Saturday morning.

Police said at about 1.45am on Saturday, a 20-year-old man was walking with friends along Rupertswood Road when they were approached by a man they didn’t know.

The man allegedly punched the 20-year-old man in the head, causing him to fall to the ground.

The man was assaulted once more before the offender fled the scene with two other men.

The injured man was treated by paramedics for a suspected broken nose before being taken to Nepean Hospital.

No one else was injured during the incident.

Police seized items of clothing from the scene which will be examined.

Investigations are continuing.
