Blacktown police seek help after teenager assaulted

Police are searching for a man who might be able to assist with their inquiries into an alleged indecent assault at Blacktown yesterday (Thursday).

Police said at about 2.30pm yesterday, a 17-year-old girl answered a knock on the door of her house from a man claiming to be collecting money to help his family.

The teenager told police the man grabbed her hand and indecently assaulted her after she refused to give him money.

The girl managed to free herself and closed the door and the man walked off.

He was last seen near Yale Place and Pendant Street.

Although shaken, the girl was not physically injured.

The man has been described as of Indian/Sub-Continental appearance, aged in his fifties, 160cm, of average build, with a strong accent, a white scruffy beard and grey hair wearing black suit pants, a khaki t-shirt. He was carrying a black folder when last seen.
