Police are investigating the death of a toddler at a house in Quakers Hill.
About 6.25pm yesterday (Tuesday, February 4), police and ambulance paramedics were called to a house on Hillcrest Avenue.
A 15-month-old girl was found unconscious in her cot and taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition, where she later died.
Detectives from Quakers Hill Local Area Command are investigating the incident.
A post mortem examination will be conducted to determine how the child died while a report will be prepared for the coroner.
Police said initial investigations suggested the child became entangled in a blind cord.
