Gang rape in Doonside

Police are hunting for six men who sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in Doonside on Saturday night.

She was approached by a man in Bill Colbourne Reserve on Hill End Road at about 11pm.

The girl told police the man touched the girl inappropriately before sexually assaulting her.

The man’s five friends then also sexually assaulted her.

The group fled and the girl walked to a nearby home where police were alerted.

Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command established a crime scene in the reserve.

The girl was taken to hospital for treatment.

An investigation into the incident is underway with local detectives being assisted by officers from the State Crime Command’s Sex Crimes Squad.

Police are appealing for public assistance in an attempt to identify and locate the men involved.

The six men are all described as being of African appearance and are believed to be aged in their late teens or early 20s.
