A 67-year-old man from Prospect was taken to Blacktown Hospital with minor thumb and neck pains after being in a car accident in Baulkham Hills on Tuesday.
Sergeant Steve Andrews from the Hills highway patrol unit said the BMW driver was travelling north on Old Northern Road, Baulkham Hills at 11.40pm Tuesday when a Toyota Prado crossed his path.
The Prado driver was travelling south when she attempted to turn right into Olive Street.
The woman, 18, of Cherrybrook was issued with a ticket for not giving way to oncoming vehicle (right turn).
Cards used in Doonside
Cards stolen from a house in Castle Hill on Saturday were used about 4pm on the same day to make purchases at a tobacconist and a liquor store in Doonside.
Police said the cards were stolen from an unlocked house in Peppertree Place, Castle Hill between midnight and 8am on Saturday, along with personal papers, a driver’s licence, car keys and a handbag.
Police are viewing store video footage.
Car collides with wall
A 67-year-old Annandale woman was taken to Blacktown Hospital with airbag injuries after driving into a sandstone wall in Carlingford.
Police said she was driving her Mercedes northbound on Bettington Road, Carlingford at 3.10pm on Sunday and slid on the road while navigating a right-hand bend.
‘‘She hit the sandstone wall of 168 Bettington Road causing major damage to the front of her car and the airbag went off,’’ Sergeant Steve Andrews of the Hills highway patrol unit said.
She suffered minor burns and bruising.
