Police have laid an extra charge on a 16-year-old boy in relation to the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in Bill Colbourne Reserve, Doonside, on February 8.
On Thursday, February 13, Blacktown Police charged the boy with sexual assault.
Earlier today the boy appeared in court where he learned he was being charged with the additional offence of aggravated sexual assault.
He was granted strict conditional bail and will face court again on April 17.
Investigators from Blacktown Police and Sex Crimes Squad detectives from Strike Force Tompo will continue to investigate the alleged sexual assault.
