Man transferred to Westmead Hospital after being shot near bikie clubhouse

A 33-year-old man is stable condition in Westmead hospital with non life-threatening injuries after being shot near the Rebels motorcycle gang clubhouse in Sydney’s west on Monday night.

Police were called to Grex Avenue at Minchinbury just before 8.30pm on Monday. They found a man with a gunshot wound to the thigh, police said.

Officers from Mt Druitt Local Area Command were told the man was shot after he entered a building on Grex Avenue.

It’s believed he was then further assaulted by a group of men, police say.

Crime scenes were established and are examined by specialist forensic officers.

“The full circumstances surrounding the man’s shooting are still being established and nobody has been arrested at this stage,” NSW Police said in a statement just before 10pm.

The man remains Westmead Hospital, police say.
