Pair plead not guilty to Sullivan murder at Lalor Park

THE two men accused of Lalor Park man Daniel Sullivan’s murder last year have pled not guilty to the charges.

The remains of Mr Sullivan, 59, were found inside the burnt-out department of a housing unit he rented in Iwunda Road, on January 8.

Police said, Neil Francis Madden, 52, returned to the scene of the fire about two hours after it had been extinguished and presented to emergency services with severe burns.

He was eventually charged with murder and with disposing of the body by fire at Concord Hospital on March 28, last year.

On the same day, police went to a home in Grose Street Parramatta and charged Stephen William Babbage, 50, with the murder of Mr Sullivan.

Justice Megan Latham set the trial of the pair for July 4.
