Police are investigating the attempted sexual assault of a 67-year-old woman in Seven Hills yesterday.
Police said the woman was walking through International Peace Park at about 3pm when she was approached from behind by a man who exposed himself and grabbed the woman in an attempt to remove her jacket and clothing.
She was forced to the ground in a nearby alleyway, hit with a stick and punched before the man walked away.
Police from Blacktown Local Area Command were called to the scene and the woman was taken to hospital.
Detectives have spoken to her via a Croatian interpreter to gather a description of the man.
She told police the man was of Caucasian appearance, about 30 and about 183cm tall, with short blonde hair .
He was wearing a long-sleeved orange and blue T-shirt.
In another incident a 21-year-old woman was dragged into the middle of the Prospect Highway during an attempted robbery in Seven Hills at 9.20am on Sunday
Police said a man grabbed the woman's handbag with such force that she was dragged across the road and onto the medium strip in the middle of the highway. She then let go of the bag and the man ran off down Hope Street.
Several motorists stopped to help the woman and ran after the man who dropped the handbag and was last seen walking along Pioneer Street.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 18-20 years old, 170cm tall, thin build and fair complexion with acne .
He was wearing a dark beanie, T-shirt, track pants and white sneakers.
