POLICE have closed one westbound lane on the M7 motorway in Blacktown to investigate a road death this morning.
Officers from the Quakers Hill Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatality on the motorway at about 10am.
A police spokesman said a 39-year-old man was travelling west on the M7 motorway when he stopped his car at an emergency contact bay.
He said police believed the man was hit by a westbound truck while crossing the road and sustained fatal injuries.
