Lalor Park resident Petta Hines has organised an information session called Knowledge is Power — How 2 Make Your Votes Really Count to help people understand how to vote by discovering the ultimate empowerment tool – Knowledge.
‘‘Many people would like to improve their voting skills but lack time, confidence and knowledge,’’ Ms Hines said.
‘‘In a friendly environment people can come together to learn the basics about voting and feel more empowered in future elections.’’
The event will be held at Lalor Park Public School on July 19, from 4pm to 6pm.
‘‘We need at least 40, 18 years plus attendees to proceed with the event,’’ she said.
