Counterfeit items seized in a store at Parklea Markets

Police seized a large number of counterfeit items from a store at Parklea Markets yesterday.

Quakers Hill police attended the markets about 3.05pm, Saturday, June 22, attended the market place and executed a search warrant on a store.

More than 190 pairs of counterfeit shoes bearing brand names such as Nike, ASICS and Converse were seized along with Chanel perfume, Louis Vuitton handbags, Burberry purses and other items.

The estimated retail value of the items seized is believed to be in excess of $120,000.

Police spoke with a 27-year-old man who assisted them with their inquiries.

Investigations are continuing.
