Police are investigating an armed robbery in Toongabbie yesterday afternoon.
About 4pm, a man armed with a handgun entered a takeaway shop on Ballandella Road at Toongabbie.
The man threatened the store owner and demanded cash.
The offender ran from the scene and got into a gold coloured car, which was parked outside and being driven by an accomplice.
The shop owner was not hurt.
The offender was described as Caucasian, 30 to 40 years of age, 165cm tall, skinny build with a grey/white beard. He was wearing sunglasses and a grey jumper.
Police from Parramatta Local Area Command Re investigating.
