Attempted car thief to face court

ON Wednesday a car owner reported seeing a man breaking into his parked vehicle in Blacktown.

The 67-year-old man from Rooty Hill had parked his car in Marcel Crescent about 6.50am.

A 58-year-old man, also from Rooty Hill, had parked his car in the same street a short time before.

Witnesses told police a man broke into the second motorist's vehicle about 10.50am.

It will be alleged he entered the other car, when its owner returned to the scene and saw him inside the vehicle.

Security guards were called and police later arrested a 51-year-old Doonside man.

He was charged and will appear in Blacktown Local Court.
