Londonderry MP Bart Bassett has been called to appear as a witness at the Independent Commission Against Corruption's (ICAC) Operation Spicer investigation on Friday, August 29.
Mark Regent, contracted consultant to the Redbank North Richmond development, has also been called to appear as a witness on the Friday.
ICAC's Operation Spicer is investigating allegations that members of parliament and others corruptly solicited, received and concealed payments from various sources in return for certain members of parliament and others favouring the interests of those responsible for the payment.
On August 7, Fairfax Media reported "Mr Bassett allegedly used his casting vote as Hawkesbury mayor to ensure a controversial housing development associated with the donor past council a year before allegedly having an $18,000 donation credited to his state election campaign".
