If you were to take a moment to consider the great duos of country music, it's a fair bet the names Howard and David Bellamy would be perched high on the list.
For nearly 40 years the brothers from Florida have remained a constant, known internationally for their incredible repertoire and relentless dedication to touring.
It could be argued their take on country music paved the way for other celebrated duos to follow.
Next month the brothers will embark on yet another Australian tour, with their only western Sydney show being held at Rooty Hill RSL Club on Thursday, October 16.
The visit is part of a global tour to celebrate their upcoming 40th anniversary.
"We're overdue and we're very excited about coming back down under," Howard said. "It's been too long."
"Of course the great part is we love Australia. We've played in like 65 foreign countries and they've all been nice, but some of them you don't understand real well, so it's nice to have a common language."
On January 1, the Bellamys will officially celebrate their 40th year as a performing duo.
Howard said longevity was never something the brothers considered in their early days.
"Of course we never had a clue that we were going to do this as a career," he said.
Howard said that he was proud to have shared the journey with his younger brother.
"I never could make that in any other marriage, but I've been married to my brother for 40 years," he joked.
