A driver has fled on foot after crashing a car into a house and injuring an elderly occupant in Eastwood on Wednesday morning.
An 85-year-old man was injured when a Holden Captiva mounted the curb and crashed into a bedroom of a house on the corner of Lakeside Road and Epping Avenue, police said.
Emergency services arrived on the scene about 2:25am on Wednesday and assisted the elderly man who had been in the bedroom at the time of the crash.

Police believe the driver got out of the car and fled from the vehicle. The passengers in the car were not injured and are assisting with inquiries.
The man is in a stable condition at Royal North Shore Hospital where he has received treatment for a facial injury.The other occupants in the home were not injured.
An investigation is underway and police are appealing for anyone with any information about the crash or events leading up to it, to contact Crime Stoppers.
