Sydney Craft Beer Week, in its fourth year, has become the city's largest celebration of craft beer with more than 100 events held across more than 40 venues, including craft breweries, pubs, restaurants, galleries and pop-up installations.
Several of these are in western and north-west Sydney, including at The Stables at Sydney Olympic Park, the Riverside Brewing Company at Parramatta and the Australian Brewery at Rouse Hill.
It's expected the events, from October 18 to 26, will attract 10,000 craft beer enthusiasts.
The events offer a mix of free and paid opportunities.
Hogs and Hops, at the Australian Brewery, Rouse Hill, is a free event at which a wide variety of seasonal craft brews will be paired with a mouth-watering array of spit-roasted suckling pig and delicious smoked brisket. The brewers will be on hand to explain the finer points of why meat slow-cooked over coals is a match made in heaven. There will also be brewery tours every hour on the hour and live entertainment in the recently completed bar, The Australian Taphouse.
