A range of new baristas and gelato bars are set to open at Barangaroo as the $6 billion project gets closer to completion.
The latest signings are Bourke Street Bakery and Gelato Messina, along with coffee industry pioneers Toby's Estate and Campos Coffee. They join Matt Moran, who is the first restaurateur to take up space across a three-level site at the waterfront.
Bourke Street Bakery will be located in the Lime Street Shops precinct, along with Gelato Messina.
Lime Street is where visitors can enjoy retail experiences and services similar to that of their local High Street, according to the developer Lend Lease.
Toby's Estate and Campos Coffee will operate ground-floor cafes within Tower 2 and Tower 3 respectively at International Towers Sydney. Tower 2 will be home to Westpac and Gilbert + Tobin and Tower 3 to KPMG and Lend Lease.
Gary Horwitz, the head of retail investment management for Lend Lease, said there would be an estimated 28,000 people working and visiting Barangaroo each day once it is completed in 2016.
"Barangaroo will be a highly visited precinct, so it's important we partner with operators who provide the highest quality product, but can also keep up with the demand," Mr Horwitz said.
"Whether it is iconic restaurateurs of Matt Moran's calibre or retailers the likes of Bourke Street Bakery, Toby's Estate, Campos Coffee and Gelato Messina, who will bring an authentic village experience to the precinct."
