If Buffy was the vampire slayer, then Sarah Michelle Gellar is the social media slayer.
Gellar, the woman who made vampires, or at least killing them, cool in the 1990s, is as sharp as her alter ego's stake was in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
The sassy 37-year-old star of the cult TV series that ran into the noughties, who continues to be the thinking man's crumpet, is as sassy in real life as she was on the screen.
"Next question," she demanded when asked if she followed through and cancelled her subscription to Vogue after tweeting she would when the fashion bible released its April issue with reality TV star Kim Kardashian West and rapper Kanye West on the cover.
"Well ... I guess I'm canceling my Vogue subscription. Who is with me???," she tweeted about the image, which featured the hashtag "WorldsMostTalkedAboutCouple".

While many, including Kardashian West's best friend, publicist Jonathan Cheban, criticised the actor for her snide comment, her 367,000 virtual fans supported her stance, especially those who were old enough to remember when she was once one half of the world's most talked about couple when she married her Scooby Doo co-star, teen comedy heart throb Freddie Prinze jnr, in 2002.
Since Buffy ended after seven successful seasons on TV in 2003, Gellar has focused on her two young children while pursuing smaller roles on television and vocal work on animation. Her last project, The Crazy Ones, in which she starred alongside the late Robin Williams, was cancelled before his death in August.
"He's incredible, he's everything you could hope for and more," she said with tears in her eyes.
For the diehard fans of her breakout role there is a slim chance of a reprisal, just not in a feature film format.
"I think people tend to forget that Buffy was a movie and ultimately it didn't work as a movie. It's a story that's told best in an artful format where you have time to stretch the story out. I think it would be very difficult to compress it into one. And then to think we spent all that time proving that the show was different to the movie to then sort of go back, I think it would be worrisome," she said.
Gellar is in Australia as the ambassador of the Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition.
