A new video featuring Brittany Maynard has been released three weeks after she voluntarily ended her life instead of dying in pain from terminal cancer.
In the video, Maynard, who died aged 29 on November 1, calls for an extension of the right to die in all American states.
"I hope for the sake of other American citizens ... that I'm speaking to that I've never met, that I'll never meet, that this choice be extended to you," Maynard said.
It was produced and released by the organisation Maynard worked for as an activist and was released on what would have been her 30th birthday.
The video comes three weeks after she died at her home in Oregon using drugs made legal by the state's Death with Dignity Act.
The right to die from a medical intervention is available in five states in America: Oregon, Washington, Montana, Vermont and New Mexico.
Maynard, her husband Dan Diaz and her family moved from San Francisco to Oregon specially to access the life-ending medication after she was diagnosed with a stage four terminal brain cancer and given six months to live in April.
She described "bone-splitting headaches, seizures and moments when I'm looking at my husband's face and I can't think of his name".
Earlier videos for the organisation in which Maynard explained her decision have garnered more than 13 million views.
"I don't want to die," Maynard said.
"Because the rest of my body is young and healthy, I am likely to physically hang on for a long time even though cancer is eating my mind. I probably would have suffered in hospice care for weeks or even months. And my family would have had to watch that."
In preparation for her death, Maynard and her husband embarked on a "bucket-list" journey of visiting key sites such as the Grand Canyon.
Shortly before dying, Maynard posted an optimistic message on her Facebook page.
"The world is a beautiful place, travel has been my greatest teacher, my close friends and folks are the greatest givers. I even have a ring of support around my bed as I type.... Goodbye world. Spread good energy. Pay it forward!"
While her decision has been condemned by some political and religious leaders including the Pope, Compassion & Choices president Barbara Coombs Lee believes Maynard has become a new voice for a new generation of activists.
"I sense immense momentum right now," Ms Coombs Lee said. "She devoted her precious energy to help ensure other dying Americans would have a choice."
A bill allowing the same rights has been introduced in Pennsylvania. A Republican representative in Wyoming has announced plans to do the same in Wyoming.
Maynard was mentioned by several legislators in New Jersey, where the state assembly has this week assembly passed a bill to allow doctors to prescribe drugs similar to those she used to end her life.
The pill is unlikely to pass as it is yet to be signed into law by Governor Chris Christie, who has said on record he opposes the measures.
Also this week, California's West Hollywood City Council passed a resolution urging the country district not to prosecute doctors and family members who support patients to end their own lives.
