A woman was stabbed in Dean Park last night
POLICE in Quakers Hill are investigating the fatal stabbing of a Dean Park woman, 59, last night.
Duty officer Inspector Adel Atalla said police were waiting to interview a 26-year-old man in relation to the attack. He has minor injuries and is under guard in Blacktown Hospital.
Inspector Atalla said the man in hospital, the dead woman and two other men, aged 68 and 30, were family members.
He said police were called to a house on Doolan Street at 9.45pm following reports of a domestic disturbance.
A police officer applied first aid when he found the woman with stab wounds in the abdomen but she died without regaining consciousness.
Inspector Atalla said police detained the man and seized a 50-centimetre long ‘‘ornamental sword’’ .
