Police have charged a man over the death of his mother.
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Sydney’s west overnight.
Emergency services were called to a home on Doolan Street, Dean Park, about 9.45pm (Thursday 6 September 2012), following reports of a disturbance.
Officers attached to Quakers Hill Local Area Command attended and found a 59-year-old woman with serious injuries. She died at the scene.
Detectives commenced an investigation into the incident and arrested the woman’s 26-year-old son at the scene.
He was taken to Blacktown Hospital with minor injuries and remains there in a stable condition.
He has since been charged with murder and, during a bedside hearing, was refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on 19 October 2012.
