112 are equal parts soul, hip-hop and gospel and finished off with a record label from Sean "P. Diddy" Combs.
They produced some of the most recognisable r'n'b songs of the 1990s and early 2000s, including Peaches and Cream, Dance with Me and P. Diddy's I'll Be Missing You.
Now the four original members are set to tour Australia with a show at Rooty Hill after their sold-out performance at the Metro Theatre.
Speaking to the Star from Atlanta, Quinnes "Q." Parker promised a knock-out show for 112 fans.
"Every time 112 perform, it's always going to be a special thing," Q. said.
"We take pride in making sure our show is tight and everything on point — fans always get their money's worth."
The first time the quartet performed in Sydney was in 1996, and the group has since visited at least 10 times.
"Man, I absolutely love Australia," Q. said. "If I could choose to live in another country outside of the [US], you'd be it.
‘‘It’s clean, it’s not too far from the American culture, it has great atmosphere, great weather and I could just, like, adjust and adapt.’’
He said the group would be performing many older hits that were absent from their last tour.
Q. said the group are constantly singing and rehearsing, and before every show they pray.
"It's a ritual, I pray for synergy," he said.
"I pray the four of us are one chord. I pray that regardless of what the crowd is like we commit to give our best performance and that we give it our all.
"We are blessed and we are thankful for the opportunity."
