Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was robbed at gunpoint at Doonside on Friday.
About 10pm, Friday, September 14, a 17-year-old boy drove to Birdwood Avenue where he parked his car before walking towards a neighbourhood centre to attend a party.
While walking to the centre he was stopped by a man who requested a cigarette. He gave the man a cigarette and allowed him to use his mobile phone.
Police have been told the man refused to return his mobile phone and subsequently demanded he hand over his wallet.
The teenager refused to hand over his wallet and became involved in a struggle when he was threatened with a handgun.
Fearing for his safety he ran to the neighbourhood centre where police were contacted.
Blacktown police are now investigating the incident and are looking for a man who has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 18-years-old, 183 centimetres tall with a slim build.
He had short brown hair and was wearing a white t-shirt and dark shorts.
