Police are investigating an incident which has left a man with fatal injuries in Sydney’s west this afternoon.
Shortly after 5pm, police and paramedics were called to Small Street, Marayong after reports a man had been injured in an incident involving a taxi.
The man, aged in his 40s, was found lying on the road with head injuries. He could not be revived and died at the scene.
A short time later, a male taxi driver attended Blacktown Police Station.
Officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit have established a crime scene and will examine all circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police are speaking with witnesses and will interview the taxi driver in a bid to determine exactly how the man was injured.
