Police are investigating a Blacktown car accident which has left a four-year-old boy in hospital.
About 5.10pm, Tuesday, October 2, a man was driving his silver Holden Commodore station wagon south along Allawah Street when he was involved in a collision.
Police have been told a four-year-old boy ran from a driveway on the eastern side of Allawah Street when he was hit by the Holden and thrown onto the road.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to The Children’s Hospital Westmead for treatment of a fractured leg and facial lacerations.
Blacktown Police and officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene and conducted examinations of the site.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are continuing.
