Blacktown police have charged a man for possession of child abuse material after a number of explicit videos were allegedly found on electronic equipment.
Detectives searched a Seven Hills home last month after receiving a tip-off from the Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit in relation to the purchase and downloading of child abuse material.
Police said a laptop computer and other electronic items were seized, with forensic examination revealing a number of videos depicting child abuse material.
A 39-year-old Seven Hills man was charged yesterday with the production, dissemination or possession of child abuse material.
He was granted conditional bail to face Blacktown Local Court on November 1.
