A young woman who was allegedly indecently assaulted by a man while jogging in Goulburn managed to kick her attacker in the groin and escape, NSW Police say.
The 21-year-old woman was jogging beside the Wollondilly River near Middlearm Road in Goulburn when a "scruffy" man approached her at 5.25pm on Wednesday.
The man touched her inappropriately and pulled her t-shirt before she kicked him and was able to flee.
Police were alerted minutes later and did a sweep of the area.
Investigators seized a number of items for forensic examination.
Police said the man was described as Caucasian, about 175cm tall with a deep voice and a "scruffy" appearance.
The man was said to be unshaven with messy hair and a strong body odour. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with holes in it at the time of the attack.
