Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was indecently assaulted on a train near Blacktown on Friday.
The 17-year-old was travelling on a westbound train between Toongabbie and Seven Hills when she was assaulted by another passenger about 4.40pm, police said.
Police have been told a man rubbed up against the girl a number of times before indecently assaulting her.
The girl fled to another area of the train where she was followed by the man but managed to evade him before she exited the train at Windsor.
Blacktown police are investigating the matter and are looking for a man who has been described as being of Indian/Sub-Continental appearance, 40 to 50 years old, and about 175 centimetres tall with grey/white hair.
He was wearing spectacles, a black jacketed, chequered shirt, dark blue dress pants, caterpillar boots and had a black carry bag at the time of the incident.
