DIRECTOR and founder of Ability Options, Greg McIntyre passed away after a recent illness.
His funeral service was held at Ourimbah, a small suburb in the Central Coast today(October 16).
Mr McIntyre established several disability service and advocacy organisations including Ability Options at Seven Hills (formerly known as the Association for Assistance to Intellectually and Socially Handicapped People).
Ability Options is now assisting more than 3000 people with a disability across NSW.
Its centre at Seven Hills helps people with a disability into work.
For nearly 40 years, Mr McIntyre developed better opportunities for people with a disability, especially in Western Sydney.
He gave many people with a disability the opportunities to get out from institutions to live and go to work like other Australians.
Mr McIntyre lived and worked in the Hills area for many years before relocating to Wyee a few years ago.
