Police appeal after stabbing

Police have appealed for information following the stabbing of a man in Prospect on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to a convenience store on Flushcombe Road about 5.30am, and found the man with a stab wound and lacerations to his shoulder.

The victim, 27, was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

Witnesses reported that the man stumbled into the store claiming he had been stabbed after being robbed by two people.

His injuries were deemed non-life threatening and he is assisting police with their investigations.
