Three people escaped injury when shots were fired into a home in Rooty Hill on Thursday night.

Police have appealed for information following the shooting on Albert Street on June 15.

A resident heard multiple gun shots about 9.45pm before several windows were broken by an unknown object.

Despite the severity of the incident, police say they weren’t told about the shooting until the following day.

Officers from Mount Druitt police station set up a crime scene and seized projectiles found at the home.
