When choosing someone to provide your security, whether it be crowd control, patrols or alarm monitoring, knowing that you are talking to someone with experience makes a difference.

Jason Muir, owner and director for Secureguard, has plenty of experience, including as Operations Manager for the 2000 Olympics and supervisor for more than 100 venues including the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

“I started Secureguard [in 2009] to offer a better service to our clients,” Mr Muir said.

“As most of the main security companies sub-contract their work out, we hire our own staff to ensure our clients get what they ask for. We know all our staff, their qualities, where they are working and where they are best suited.

“We show the same amount of care to our clients as we do to our staff: our focus is long term in regards to all round service. Most of our clients been with us for at least five years.

“Supplying security isn’t just about sending any person with a security licence, it’s about the quality of the security guard as they all represent our company image, and as in any type of business first impressions count.”

Mr Muir grew up in the western suburbs so has a good understanding of the local area.

”Basically I love my job and understand every aspect required to make a great security organisation.

“With more than 24 years’ experience within the security industry, nothing pleases me more than being able to pass that on to customers and staff who want someone who not only knows what they are doing, but also enjoys it,” he said.
